Proxy
Original notes by SunDiaL · View English source
Structurally, a Proxy is identical to a Decorator, the difference is in who decides to use it:
- A Decorator is a conscious decision made by the developer, wired explicitly in the Composition root
- A Proxy is applied by a library or framework, and the caller has no say in the matter and ideally no awareness of it.
